Whether you're a weekend golfer, competitive athlete, or just want to stay active, Mr Baring offers fast-track diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment for sports-related shoulder and elbow injuries.

Acute pain following a fall, collision, or overhead movement playing sport
Shoulder or elbow instability, feeling of the joint giving way
Chronic overuse pain that hasn't resolved with rest
Reduced strength or range of motion affecting performance
Fast-track imaging and diagnosis. Keyhole surgery as first-line where indicated — smaller incisions, faster return to sport. Tailored rehabilitation plan from day one. Goal is return to previous level of activity.

This isn't the same for everyone but this gives you a rough idea of the recovery time for post op elbow surgery recovery
If you don't see your insurer listed please reach out and we will chat through the options with you.

Commonly asked questions about Frozen Shoulder in London
No - you can book yourself directly into clinic here
Mr Baring holds clinics every week and in most cases can see you within a few days of your enquiry. If you have sustained an acute injury, please contact the team directly and we will do our best to arrange an urgent appointment. Early assessment is important, getting an accurate diagnosis quickly means treatment can begin sooner and recovery time is often reduced.
Many sports injuries to the shoulder and elbow respond well to non-surgical management, including physiotherapy, injections, and a structured rehabilitation programme. Surgery is only recommended when conservative treatment has not delivered results, or when the nature of the injury means it is unlikely to heal without intervention. Mr Baring will give you an honest assessment of both options and what the evidence suggests for your specific injury, so you can make an informed decision.
This depends entirely on the type of injury and the treatment required. Minor soft tissue injuries managed non-surgically may allow return to sport within four to eight weeks. Keyhole surgery for conditions such as shoulder instability or rotator cuff tears typically allows return to sport between three and six months. More significant procedures such as shoulder reconstruction may take six to twelve months before full sporting activity is safe. Mr Baring will give you a realistic and specific timeline at your consultation based on your injury, your sport, and your level of activity.
